Jaipur is a wonderful tourist attraction. There are a number tourist places in jaipur to be visited. Major tourist attractions of Jaipur are Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Jaigarh fort, Amber Fort, Govind Dev Ji temple, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall and many others.
Hawa Mahal, a five-storey building, has 953 windows with hanging lattices. This monument was mainly built for the ladies of the royal family to watch the street life and proceedings of the common people without being observed by them. The city palace is a beautiful combination of Mughal and Rajput architecture. This palace is famous for its magnificent collection of paintings, carpets and royal belongings.
Located on a hilltop Jaigarh Fort overlooks the city of Ajmer. Jai Ban- the world’s biggest cannon on wheels are placed here. An another beautiful fort, Nahagarh Fort increases the grace of the Aravalli ranges. The fort houses Madhavendra Bhawan where one can visit the nine apartments of the nine wives of Maharaja Ram Singh.
Amber Fort is another magnificent resort. It is a beautiful combination of Muslim and Hindu architecture. Inside this palace, one can visit Sheesh Mahal- chamber of mirrors and Diwan-e-Aam or the hall of public audience. Govind Dev Ji temple is located inside the city palace only. This beautiful Krishna temple was highly honored by the then royal family. Albert Hall is a central museum in the Ram Niwas Garden. Jantar Mantar is an astronomical science instrument which was used in earlier time to calculate local time, altitude and to study the positions of stars and planets. Jal Mahal floats at the center of ManSagar Lake.
